Hey Readers!

It's Wilheim Wednesday! Some of you may be wondering where the idea for this fringe show came from. Strangely enough it came from a random sex radio show we used to do in the back of our friends car. We would imitate offensive and kinky dudes (with terrible german accents) talking about everything and anything to do with sex. We thought we'd share that with you... every Wednesday. These are topics we've been wondering about and would love to hear your feedback.

Have a sexy German Wednesday!

*We know it is Thursday, but we had trouble fguring out how to post our sound file. Now it is a movie file!

Pull and Pray?

Hey Readers!

We came across this article and we aren't sure what to think about it. The three of us have been brought up to believe that pulling out during sex was the absolute worst form of birth control and that if you trusted it to keep you safe you were an idiot, but recent research has shown that it might not be as bad as we were taught. This article mentions that it may be almost as effective as using a condom when used effectively. What are your thoughts? Have you found any other research or articles that might help us out?

Erotic E-Readers?

Hey readers!

Along with the invention of e-readers came more liberated, comfortable and "naughty" women. Erotica is on the rise (and this is before 50 Shades of Grey became a New York Times bestseller). Studies are showing that women are purchasing and reading more erotica now that they are available electronically. E-readers offer more privacy. Women no longer have to face a judgemental teller at their local bookstore, but can simply click download. Plus, there is the added bonus of taking it wherever you wish because you can't see the lusty and provocative cover like you can on a traditional paperback. Next time you see someone reading their Kobo, Kindle or Ipad... they could be reading something.... sexy!

Vagina Voice - Eve Ensler

Hey Readers!

Here is a new segment for Mondays on Sex Needs A Talking Too! We are going to profile a "Vagina Voice" (someone who is out in the world/universe talking about sex, vaginas, penises, sexual education, men/women, gay/lesbian rights, etc., etc.) If you can think of anyone you want profile just send us an email or leave a comment! They can be local, Canadian or just someone you love!

Our first "Vagina Voice" is someone you may already know... Eve Ensler. Eve Ensler is the creator of The Vagina Monologues and the founder of V-Day, a global activitist movement to end violence against women and girls. She speaks openly about women's issues, sex, violence against women, sex education, and encourages us to embrace our sexuality, whatever that may be. She is a true "Vagina Voice" and we applaud her!

Check out the following resources to learn more about Eve:

Also you can learn about V-Day here.

If you have information about Eve Ensler including books, essays, websites, biographies, videos, blog posts, ANYTHING you'd like to share leave your comments below.

We want to hear from you!!!

Hey Readers!

We have been working frantically on our script and last Thursday had our first invited read! Our guests were wonderful and gave us their opinions on characters, contexts, staging, etc. and offered new ideas, new directions and much more! We now have a ton to tweak, fix, edit, add and delete before the next draft.

Back to the blog. We are looking for more followers, readers, opinion-givers, and interest-havers! Tell your friends, family and/or random strangers to go to www.sexneedsatalkingtoo.blogspot.com or follow us on Facebook or Twitter (Bring It Up Theatre)! Read new posts, send in personal stories, participate in the challenges and document your own experiences! We want to hear from you!

Hey readers,

We had a photoshoot a few weeks ago. It was a blast. Our photographers Matt Worobec and Brodie Ferguson were wonderful to work with and even laughed at our many inappropriate jokes! Here are a few of the photos they took!

Hey Readers!

We came across this video a while ago and have fallen in love with Grace's sense of humour when talking about sex! Check out more of her videos on YouTube (especially “Tampons”). Hope you have a wonderful, sexy weekend!

Here's a little sneak peek at our show! This scene is called "My mother caught me masturbating." Can anyone relate?

... My mom walks in and says “I’m going to – what were you doing with your pants off?”

 “Changing,” (I stammer)

My mom looks confused. Then understanding. Then really, really uncomfortable.

“Lock your door next time,” she says.

The next time she comes to my room, she knocks first. But not on the door. She knocks on the wall of the hallways outside my room. All. The Way. Down.

Stay tuned for more sneak peeks as the Edmonton International Fringe Festival gets closer and closer!
